From our translators This tutorial was made in PSP 8.1 but I am sure could be done in any version. Tubes are from MistsofTime and Gerlinde Creations All of the embellishments are made by me. You can get them Here. Please Note: All LAYERS are turned off on all tubes. Bring up the tubes & the background I supplied in PSP. Go to your layers view all on all of the tubes. Take this arrow with you to keep your place in this tutorial.
( 1 ) Open a new 800 x 600 Transparent Image. ( 2 ) In your foreground pattern, find scrap-blend8bg, set to Angle 0 & Scale 100. ( 3 ) New layer and flood fill with this pattern. ( 4 ) Copy the tube scrap-blend8-side-strips and paste as a new layer onto your image. Leave it there. ( 5 ) Copy the tube scrap-blend8-frame and paste as a new layer onto your image. Move it to the top of your image. Lower the opacity of this layer to 80. To highlight the bows on the frame, take your eraser at Size 9, Hardness 0, Opacity 50 and right click on the parts of the Bows you want to highlight. Keep this layer on top. ( 6 ) Click on the layer underneath the frame and add a new layer. With your selection tool set to Hexagon, start at the very left of your image and draw out a hexagon. Don't worry if it isn't over the frame properly, we will fix that shortly. Flood fill this layer with color #978558. Selections, select none. ( 7 ) Now with your Deform tool move it over the frame and fit it to the frame. ( 8 ) Copy the tube PH_Oriental_eight and paste as a new layer onto your image. Resize by 95% all layers unchecked. With your deform tool place her inside the frame. Erase the parts of the tube that are outside the frame with your eraser. Click on the frame layer. (see my image) ( 9 ) Copy the tube PH_chinese_floral1 and paste as a new layer onto your image. Resize by 95% all layers unchecked. Place it to the left at the bottom.
