Sara Moon Signature Tag Tutorial By Marleschka. This tutorial was made in PSP 8.1 but can be done in any version. For this tutorial you will need 2 pics, a close up and 1 full sized pic and a brush. Put the Brushes in your brush folder. Bring up your pics in PSP and resize your smaller pic to 450 in height. ( 1 ) Open a new 450 x 450 transparent Image and floodfill with white. Choose a light and dark color from your pic. I used Foreground on #3A3031 and Background on #B7A5A1. ( 2 ) New layer. With your foreground on your dark color and background on nul, take your preset shape tool. Have it set on rectangle and width size 4, vector and antilias checked, draw out a square about three quarters the size of your canvas. Object align, horizontal center in canvas. Convert to raster layer. ( 3 ) Duplicate this layer then go to Image resize and resize by 80% with all layers unchecked. Image rotate, free rotate and rotate by 45 deg. Doesn't matter which way. ( 4 )Duplicate this layer and do the same as in step3 ( 5 ) Close your background layer and merge your boxes visible. Name this layer boxes. ( 6 ) Make sure you are on your boxes layer. Take your magic wand with these settings, Mode Add Shift and select around the very outside of the boxes. Selections modify and expand by 2. ( 7 ) New layer and drag this underneath the boxes layer, flood fill with your dark color, Keep Selected. ( 8 ) New Layer. Now with your foreground color on your light color take your brush and find the one you are going to use. No particular size, and stamp around this selection. Selections select none. ( 9 ) Close your background layer and the boxes layer and merge visible. Name it if you wish but there is no need. ( 10 ) Back to your boxes layer and select the next box and also the little triangles to the side of it. Selections modify, expand by 3. ( 11 ) New layer, drag it under your boxes layer and floodfill with your light color. Keep Selected. ( 12 ) New layer and with your foreground on your dark color stamp your brush around the selection. Selections select none. ( 13 ) Repeat step 9 but also close off the first merged layer and then merge visible. ( 14 ) Back to your boxes again and select the next box and also the little triangles to the side. Selections expand by 3. ( 15 ) New Layer and drag it under your boxes layer. Floodfill this time with your dark color. Keep Selected. ( 16 ) New layer and with your foreground color on your light color stamp your brush around the selection. Selections select none. ( 17 ) Repeat step 9 but also close off your 2 merged layers and then merge visible. ( 18 ) Back to your boxes layer and select the middle box. Selections modify by 2. ( 19 ) New layer and drag it under your boxes layer. ( 20 ) Take your close up pic and copy and then paste it into your selection. Selections select none. ( 21 ) Close off your background layer and merge visible. Keep this Image on your screen, we are now going to add to it. ( 22 ) Open your background layer. Go to, Image canvas size and use these settings, Width 600 Height 450 and make sure 'right' has 150 written in it. We are wanting the extra 150 pixels to be on the right of our canvas. ( 23 ) Move the merged layer to the left till the side tip of the first triangle touches the side. ( 24 ) Go to your background layer and floodfill with white. ( 25 ) Make sure you are now on the merged layer. Take your preset shape tool same settings as before and draw a rectangle matching the frame of your first merged layer pic whereby you are covering the triangles down the right side frame of your first Image, and then to the outside of your layer. Please see my image below. ( This is reduced in size but you can see what I mean.) Convert to a raster layer. ( 26 ) Duplicate this layer and then resize this layer by 80%. Move this box over into the center of your first box after you have resized. ( 27 ) Close off your background and merged pic layer and merge these two boxes visible. ( 28 ) With your magic wand select the inside of the larger box. ( 29 ) New Layer. Drag this layer below your box layer and flood fill with your dark color. Keep Selected. ( 30 ) New Layer and with your foreground on your light color stamp your brush inside the selection. Selections select none. ( 31 ) Back to your boxes layer and select inside the smaller box. Selection modify and expand by 2. ( 32 ) New layer, drag it under your boxes layer, copy and paste your full picture into the selection. selections select none. ( 33 ) Close off your background and your first merged pic layer and merge visible. ( 34 ) Go to your background layer and floodfill with your dark color. ( 35 ) Open all layers. Now you can fiddle with the two pics, using your deform tool make sure they are set right. See my Image. Sharpen them after you have fixed them. ( 36 ) Make sure you are on your large pic layer and you can if you want although it isn't necessary add this dropshadow, vertical 3 Horizontal 3 Opacity 70, Blur 5, Color Black. Repeat with Vertical and horizontal on -3 and Shadow On A New Layer Checked. On this shadow layer take your Eraser at size 86, Shape Square, opacity and hardness 100 and take away the shadow down the left side of the image. ( 37 ) Make sure you are on your background layer. ( 38 ) New Layer and with your forground color on your light color stamp your brush in the dark color area where there is no brush marks. ( 39 ) Merge all layers visible. ( 40 ) Now you may see a little line at the top and bottom between the two pics. ( 41 ) Take your clone tool with these settings, size 32, hardness 46, step 25, opacity 100 and clone these areas from just beside them. ( 42 ) Merge All. ( 43 ) Image, add borders 6, white.
